A place to play. A place to be.
Built from Experience. Created with Love.
Hello, and welcome. I’m so glad you’ve found us!
I’m Amy, the founder of Two Little Birdies Play Cafe. I’ve poured my whole heart into creating a place that feels as welcoming for grown ups as it is exciting for little ones. Somewhere you genuinely want to spend time, not simply somewhere to fill an hour.
I’ve been a teacher since 2016, specialising in early years and children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Supporting children and families has always been at the heart of what I do, but becoming a mum completely changed my perspective.
After having my daughter, Primrose, I experienced postnatal anxiety. During that time, play cafes became my safe place. They gave me somewhere to escape the four walls of home, enjoy a coffee, watch my daughter play and, for a little while, breathe. Those spaces helped me more than I can put into words. I remember thinking, I’d love to create this feeling for someone else one day.
When I became pregnant with my second child, my son Fenwick, that dream became impossible to ignore. Throughout my maternity leave, while caring for two little ones, I built Two Little Birdies from the ground up. Every decision, from the play equipment to the cafe menu, has been made with families in mind.

OUR MISSION
At Two Little Birdies, our mission is to create a safe, inclusive and inspiring space where every child can play, learn and thrive. Founded by an autism specialist with over eight years of experience, we’re passionate about supporting children’s development through play while providing a welcoming community for families. We celebrate every child, embrace every journey and believe that the best memories are made when everyone feels they belong.
